AUDITION NOTES
Auditions are coming up for 5 roles in The Whisperer, a spine-chilling new horror play, written by actor- playwright Jeff Shipp.
For this play, Shipp is seeking a female, aged 13 to 25, a male, aged 13 to 25 and 3 men who are older than 25
.
The Whisperer focuses on Lena Patrick, a teen-age girl whose violent interior life has caused her to undergo psychotherapy. The play takes us into Lena’s mind and we see the monsters of shame and terror that are haunting her. When her long-buried secrets come to light, the boundary between reality and nightmare blurs, and Lena and her family are trapped inside her nightmare. The Whisperer will open on October 25 and will close on Sunday November 10.
Auditions will be held on Tuesday Sept. 3 at 7 p.m., Saturday September 7 at 2 p.m., Tuesday Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. and Saturday Sept. 14 at 2 p.m. They will be held at the Willits Community Theatre Playhouse, 37 West Van Lane, in Willits.
